Live acts:

Soft Riot is JJD; a former Vancouverite who has clocked over fifteen years of musical output in various bands and projects. Moving from Vancouver to London UK in the late 2000s, Soft Riot came into full being. Having now released a couple of acclaimed albums and EPs and staging numerous tours around Europe. Soft Riot has set up camp in Sheffield, a city with a strong his...tory of innovative synthesizer music.

Drawing inspiration from synthesizer-based film soundtracks of yesteryear, drones, early EBM, minimal synth, a dose of psychedelic synthpop and a heavy dose of throbbing appregiated rhythms, Soft Riot is a science-fiction heavy soundscape that narrates the listener through today’s fractured, excessive landscape with hints of black humour.

The Digitariat

Post PE solo vocal belligerence before a cascade of noise, digital glitch, analog filth, free electronics around a new structure of rhythm measure.
Job, sex, money (or lack of); misandry/misogyny conflict; the truths behind constructed reality; the tragedy of pornography (for viewer and viewed); how technology is used against the people rather than for the people, pursuit of absolute joy against the negative influences; all these are recurring matters explored by The Digitariat.

DJ's Blackdeath 1334 and Gertrud Stein will make you dance with music genres such as post-punk, synthpop, minimal wave and EBM.
